Back when I was little, I remember catching some "kids shows", mostly from Brazil , featuring female leads wearing the skimpiest costumes and outrageous racks.
I was excited about all the singing and the colorful dancing ( yeah, I fag since then :P) but my dad insisted on watching it with me...

It´s so awesome to see some artist´s speed when creating and coloring a piece.
I struggle a little with how fast I can complete a pic. So I decided to go back to the basics and work my way from there.

So for my model, I picked Yamcha from Dragon Ball. There´s an unusual lack of material from this guy, so I´ll be getting some practice and making a small contribuition to this hunk´s fandom (if any :P)

So, yet again, Y Gallery´s new mods anatomical unknowledge or narrow mindedness has , uh, "censored me" , I guess.

I mean, I know it has happened to us all. We are on the beach, the locker room or showers and we see a guy with huge pecs, and our first reaction is to rush to them and put a towel over their racks.
- Excuse me miss, cover that up!-
Never happened? oh....

I would like explain my point, in case any of Y' s mod happens to stumble around here.

Breasts and Pecs
I know there might be some confusion on this. But they are not so hard to tell apart if you know them. Now dear readers, please be warned this might be a bit graphic, but it´s all for the sake of making an argument, I promise :P

These are breasts
They are made mostly of fatty tissue. Therefore, their dynamics are very specific. They hang and sag very much in the fashion of a water filled balloon. Granted there are different types of breasts, you can always guess they are FEMALE for their pear shape and soft and puffy nature.

Now, Pecs are a completely different story.
While most people are familiar with fairly flat chests in males, the developed pectoral muscle is also a part of male anatomy, one I`m particularly fond of, and has a very different shape than breasts
Male pectorals are made of muscle and fat, we all know that. But I wonder if these kids at Y know how muscle actually behaves?
When relaxed, these muscles become softer and bulge, very much in the same way the hamstring hangs while we are sitting.

We bara enthusiasts love our muscular man, and we tend to exaggerate those body parts we find particularly attractive, in this case the chest

Now guys, I know most of us, if not all of us, recognize the huge difference between this and this.

I broke a rule about characters needed to be explicitly male, and this image is "very misleading".
Protip: When in doubt, check the thing between the legs, that should clear it

As of now, I`m temporarily banned from Y.
I used to love Y gallery. I know a lot of people hated Snover, but I don´t remember things being as bad as they are now.
Most of the people I watched are gone now, there only remains very few good artists. The only reason I post there is because of all the nice people I`ve met, and the support they gave this perv when I had my first attempts at posting bara art.

The very very first game that blew my mind was Chrono Trigger. It was awesome at the time, plus I was all about Toriyama`s musclebound men.
I remember getting really upset when my cartridge died on me and found out the game was more scarce than diamonds.

Then came Chrono Cross, the sequel. I got hyped, played half an hour and dropped it.
Ugh, some of the worst character design ever. The gameplay itself was fun, but I just couldn`t get over Nobuteru Yuki`s ugly characters. Granted his art is more sophisticated than Toriyama`s, it didn`t cut it for me

So, in a game barren of visually appealing characters, I got happy when I found out Guile and Zoah

Guile I liked most. I always pictured his outfit was sheer, and under the appropiate lighting you could see the good stuff:P

I made this pic for a new Y! Gallery banner, but I liked the way it turned out so I posted it here.

Usually, when I work on a pic I try to listen some track to kinda get the juices flowing.
However, from time to time this leaves a feeling of such song on the final image, or at least that`s the impression I get, lol.

In this case, it was the - you could do anything you want to...- lyric from 009 Sound System`s Dreamscape that inspired this composition.

Last pic came out a bit dark, so I tried to keep this one brighter. However, it kinda looks a bit overexposed :S
Maybe I should have kept some darker shadows here and there...

On the plus side, I liked the color schedule, and the slightly softer constrast.
I really wanted to draw a mankini, but they look kinda femmie, so I gave this guy bigger than usual chest and a beard to make up for it :P

For the final touches, I added reflections and highlights to define the body. The overall picture ended up looking brighter than I expected, hmmm....-_-
Dunno if it`s too saturated but at least the high contrast is acheived, wich was my main goal.

I liked the way the waves ended up. The tail looks a bit skinny for this guy´s frame, but I liked the texture of it

So, there you go.
The process I go thru to create a piece.
Of course, I go back a bunch of times to fix all kinds of parts, maybe with more practice I´ll learn to work at a faster pace

Anyway, hope you like it

I found that large patches of light define the shapes better than a bunch of small patches here and there....
It`s also SUPPOSSED to make the rendering easier, but I always have troubles deciding wich parts to shade ( I wanted to shade that tricep so bad but it lookd awful)

I decided to add a single strong light source, it hits his back and butt.
I`m starting to render water, sand and scales. The tail´s fins look a bit odd, I guess I`ll change it again later. The skin-fish tail division is also bugging me, but it will be on of the last parts I work on, so bear with it for a while

Anyway, is slowly coming together. Some reflective light and speculars should do the trick

Good thing about dark layouts: I barely need to do shading
Bad Thing about dark layouts: I will spend double the time adding reflections...XP

moving on to coloring

Here I layed down the basic scheme.
As I said in the last post, the pic is already too cheescake to add a sunset color hue, so I went for a night setting instead, I also think it looks sexier, what do you think?:P

So, the palette is very limited, bunch of blues and pale purples, then just a dip of yellow for skin and highlights.
Here`s the basic idea. I chose bakground colors in harmony with this guy`s color palette.
I like it, but is sorta flat

So, I went ahead and greyed most of the colors out. I know I lost a lot of details in the background, but look how deep and rich his skin looks (Yumm...)

Now, the color match is more or less achieved. I may change some of the colors ahead, but won`t be as drastic.

Next time, I`ll start sketching shadows and basic lights, hope to see you then

Lately, I recived a few mails asking to see what is the process I follow to make a picture.
Although I don`t really have any secret techinque or anything I`d be glad to share this process, if anyone is interested.

So, here`s how it goes...

I`ve had this pic for quite a while, and now I`ve finally have the time to color it, yay!! Please forgive the sloppy pencil work, it`ll be less noticeable once the color starts kicking in

I saw this pose on another artist`s website, hope he/she doesn`t mind. Of course, I changed the angle, position and overall placement, I wanted this kid to have a " come hither" look while showing off that booty heh heh

The composition is sorta cheesy, but I`ll try and make it more intersting with some strong contrast, (or at least I`ll try)

Stay tuned for next post, when I`ll lay down the basic color scheme

I normally go for games with a great story, emotionally charged characters or even a hunky protagonist - this game has none of that...
It does have the most absolutely fabulous femme fatale.

A lot of people call this game Devil May Cry with tits. That`s probably true. But to me this one is so much better, The whole witch/model/pole dancer was enough to keep me enticed, add the awesome amount of faggy attacks (demon stiletto heels falling from the sky? anyone?) cat fights every 3 hours... - man, this is Americas Next Top Model Xbox port-

It`s been an awfully busy month. I haven`t been able to post for two reasons.
First, school was a killer this month. Ugh I know it`s supposed to be hard, but it`s like teachers deliberately want to fail students. So I`m really glad that`s over.
Second, Mr. Eric Arvin approached me to see if I would collaborate with him on his amazing XXXmas tale, part two. And even though I knew it would mean many late nite works, I just couldn`t resist!

I really liked the way the illustrations turned out, and I hope you guys will like them as well (Including a breeding/gang bang bar scene, yeouch)

Anyway, I`m back, and hope now I can finally finish all those WIPs

I suck at most natural media, honestly...
colored pencil I always get those horrible scratchy parts accross the picture
oils, they end up smudgey and messy
acrylic, arrrgh stupid solid colors never blend propertly
chalk, they end up looking like scribbles in the pavement
markers, ugh don`t make me go there

However, I kinda like watercolor :P
I like the softer almost-tranparent effect they give. It may not be the proper way to render bulging pectorals and sexy bubble butts but it kinda gives an innocent look to my pics (something a lot of people have noticed)

I`ve been experimenting with them a little and end up with this. I know it`s not prefect guys, but I kinda liked it and wanted to post it

Well, guess there`s always a first time
I had some pieces posted without my permission in one of those gay hentai sites.
I already wrote them hoping they will be kind enough to put them down, but I doubt they will listen :S

Now, I don`t mind when people display my work, it`s flattering when you have that kind of appreciation but I just don`t see how a site expects to make money out of pictures you can find anywhere on the web for free :P

Still, I think what bothers me the most is how many artists put a lot of effort in their works to have some asshole claim them as their own and charge people to see them...

I really like muscles. There`s nothing wrong with different body types, but I really prefer the view of the fully developed male physique. I think that`s pretty clear for the pics I make.
Naturally, I`ve always been a bodybuilding enthusiast, since I was a teen. I can`t say I remember staying away from the dumbells and pounding music for more than a week.

Now, I am a hard-gainer, nothing a few extra pounds on that barbell or an additional meal wouldn`t fix, or so I thought.
I know I`m not winning any Mr. Olympia title, but I`ve always thought I was ok.
Still, I can`t believe comments like - man, you look so skinny - can have such effect on oneself.
I sure hope it`s none of those muscle dysmoprhia issues and I`ve just been slacking on that diet :P

Btw, I haven`t been goofing off, I`ve just been recoloring some already finished pieces, so there are 2 of them in this post.

On a side note, I`ve been getting some comments and messages lately (specially from one person) regarding my style and the kind of stuff I draw and I would like to explain a few things right now:

First, It`s pretty obvious I have a thing for muscle art. While it`s true I draw above average muscularity, I try to stay away from the bulging blob with veins poping (no that there`s anything wrong with that :P)
I think my anatomy gives this impression because most of the shapes are round, even though I try to stick to the thumb rules of male anatomy (ok, maybe I take some liberties on the chest and butt)

Second, this is meant to be a FANTASY, same as a movie or videogame. Please don`t take it so seriously.

I need to remember this

Whenever I put a lot of time and detailing on a pic, it gets more confusing and hard to read.
However, if I do a pic just for fun, it always seems to end up better than I expected :P

This is Reinhadt Belmont (or my rendition of him) struggling to handle the Vampire Killer whip.
This is from one of the most underrated Castlevania, Legacy of Darkness.
It was one of few N64 games I liked. It was also, one of the last hunky castlevania characters before their long flowing hair and curly eyelashes phase. I think his right leg didn`t came out right, but hey, it was a 5 hours coloring XD

a word about requests

I like requests, not as much as art trades, but I really like when someone approaches and says "hey, I think you would like this or that series" or "I think your style would be great for such and such... " I have even worked on other people`s OC once or twice, mainly cus their characters sound interesting or sexy or appealing...

What I don`t dig, it`s when people I have never met approaches and goes - hey, make me a pic of my Oc! -

- hmmm, why? -

I don`t mean to be rude, but please explain to me why should I spent 2 or 3 days in front of a pc making a picture of a doodle you spent 5 minutes making on paint?

I have even received requests saying that if I`m low on creativity, I may use some of his/her characters as long as I give proper credit....

Guess I`m just rambling, but it was something that crossed my mind these last days...

I love Sheva, and I love Jill. I really have something for strong female characters.
I know it would`ve been WAY better to have another hunk following Chris around, but the gals do a great job too!
Plus, I don`t know if I`m the only one noticing, but I see Chris overly polite and cold. That`s when I thought: of course!, here`s the story of man and his hags!

I have always asked myself, why are str8 guys so insecure?

Most of my buddies are str8, guess I just feel better around guys, but why is it that everytime you mention you r gay, guys get wary of you? What`s more, why is always the ugliest guy the one who feels threatned?

So I turned 24 last week, and I gotta say, I don`t feel that much different. I got friends over 24 feeling they are too old for clubbing, or even going out for some beer.
Maybe it`s just me, but I don`t feel like there`s any difference from when you turn 20 to the time you turn 30, well, perhaps a bit buffer lol

So, after multiple coloring and recoloring it`s finally done, This is just a sketch of a knight character I`m working on. Basically, he`s a former captain, who was demoted and now resorts to selling his body. Heh heh...

I haven`t give it much thought on this character, but I`ll post more of him as I get more inspired...

trying a new style

I really like Painter, I really do. It gives a lot of neat effects and colors. Even so, I`m not completely sure of the visible brush strokes thing...
Photoshop shading looks softer, but it takes soooooo long and eats up my ram pretty fast. So anyway, here`s a couple of pics using this style. One it`s my version of those horny cathollic schoolgirls, with a boy of course, the other it`s just some random booty shot. Hope you like' em.

Everyone, I received a message from FMX, adding my blog to his links!
I can`t even begin to tell you how honored I am.
FMX (formerly SeiyaRaver, I still remember) is by far one of my top favourite artists. I know most people will know his work by now, but to me his art is really something special. I still remember the days of GYAM, after browsing through hundred of frail bishounen pictures I found those amazing drawings. The bods, the colors, and man those faces, I had an instaboner the moment his page load.
I became such a fan of his, I asked him if he would consider make a trade with me, you can imagine how happy I was when he agreed.

So, I would like to share some of the pics from those trades.

This one is the more recent, my character Rusl being fucked in shirt and tie. I really wanted this pic to have all of FMX style, and did he accomplished. He even went as far to notice such small details (Rusl`s expression, stubble and pierced bellybutton). I was at the office when I recived this pic, and though they could fire me I couldn`t take my eyes off the screen!

This was the first pic FMX traded with me. To date, I still consider it the hottest pic I`ve seen. It`s got Ashley being fucked, by FMX, what more can I ask for.

I hope he doesn`t get mad for me posting his art, but I like it so much, I thought of sharing it with you
